Sangappa B is a seasoned development professional with over 16 years of extensive experience in rural development, social mobilization, livelihood promotion, capacity building, and financial inclusion. He has worked across grassroots, district, zonal, and leadership levels, successfully bridging communities, financial institutions, and development organizations.
Sangappa began his career with the District Project Unit, JSYS Tumkur, where he served as District Social Specialist from December 2008 to February 2011. In this role, he played a key part in participatory rural development initiatives, including Participatory Rural Appraisal (PRA), preparation of Integrated Tank Development Plans, formation and strengthening of Women Interest Groups, Self-Help Groups (SHGs), and Tank Users Groups (TUGs). He was instrumental in community mobilization, institutional building, implementation of income generation activities (IGAs), facilitation of rehabilitation and resettlement action plans, and execution of baseline and household surveys. His work ensured strong community participation across all project phases—from planning to post-implementation.
